Not so nearby Tn state parks
Note: The State Parks in this section are located beyond the website's area of focus & are places I have traveled to far less frequently, in many instances only once. Even in the area in which I regularly tramp, there are many who know a lot more than myself, masters of flora & fauna, seekers of secret places & hidden waterfalls, navigators of lost pathways. Each hike or walk I make, something new to be learned, something new to be seen. Even the Service Road leading to White Rock Overlook on Buffalo Mountain reveals a new wrinkle each time it is walked. The simple truth is I am not familiar enough with the ebb and flow of the seasons or the rhythms of the Eco-systems of the Tennessee State Parks linked directly above. Each belong to a different region other than the Blue Ridge. The descriptions provided on the parks for this section are mostly initial impressions.
